Your Energy
Advisor
WASP employs an energy advisor, Brid (Breedge) McKibben, whose job it
is to raise awareness in the West Alness area of ways to save money by
saving energy. She comes from a rural background so is well used to the
idea of
being energy efficient
and recycling. Her
training
is in electrical engineering and she has completed an energy awareness
City and
Guilds Course at Energy Action Scotland.
She
is also
currently completing a Professional Development Award on a Renewable
Energy
Systems course from Lews Castle College in Stornoway, part of
UHI .
This will enable her to give further advice to
householders wanting to
save energy by installing solar panels or domestic turbines etc.
Brίd
will carry out home visits, take part in events and give talks to
schools and
groups to advise on how to save money and energy! She is based
at the West End Community Centre, Firhill, Alness. You can
contact her on 07920 437 526 or email brid@westalnesssave.org.uk.
You
can also
register for a home energy visit on this website and she will be in
touch.
Remember, if you register for a visit before 1st
July, you will be
entered in a free draw to win a 15” LCD TV.
