I just wanted to thank
you for the help you’ve been to me regarding my fuel bills.
I was concerned
after transferring to Scottish Gas last year that my fuel bills had been so
high and that they had increased my direct debits by a huge amount.
Because you
noticed errors in the meter readings, Scottish Gas have now reassessed my
bills, dropped my direct debit amounts and refunded me over £250! It involved quite a few phone calls and some
confusing letters but you helped me understand it all.

Thank you so much
for your visit to me before Christmas.
I had been very
cold at home and concerned about fuel bills.
With your help I
now understand how to use my storage heaters better so I don’t have to use my
blow heater so much.
You also got me
transferred to a new tariff with the Scottish Hydro Electric which saves me
about 20% on my bills. I didn’t even know this existed!
When they then
sent me a bill I didn’t expect as I have a key meter, you were able to phone on
my behalf to query it. I was very pleased when they realised it had been a
mistake and cancelled it.
I’m looking
forward to getting my insulation done in the New Year so I can be even warmer!

We had a visit from the Millford
Group Ltd., who is our Scottish Gas approved insulation installer.
He gave us a quote which we have accepted. The work will be completed in May or June.

We used £32 in electricity last week
and are on course for about the same this week.
This is a great reduction from the
£40 a week we were spending before you showed us how to use the panel heaters
properly.
