Referrals

Over half of clients visited (49 clients, 54%) have needed either their suppliers or another service provider contacted. 

Of these, WASP contacted energy suppliers for 28 clients:-

  • 14 needed insulation upgraded or installed
  • 6 needed over billing problems resolved
  • 5 clients changed supplier
  • 2 needed meter problems sorted
  • 1 needed Total Heating Total Control advice

The council needed to fix problems associated with their energy usage for 15 clients

  • 6 needed further insulation
  • 5 needed central heating problems fixed (generally leaks) which meant they were overusing the systems in order to get enough hot water
  • 4 had draught and condensation problems

The remaining 6 clients needed referred to the following organisations

  • 1 was eligible for a new central heating system under the Scottish Government’s Central Heating Programme
  • 1 was referred to HICEC for a grant to install solar panels
  • 1 needed a private landlord to fix a storage heater
  • 3 needed further advice from the fire service on cooking practices and fire safety as they were overusing cookers
