clients visited (49 clients, 54%) have needed either their suppliers or
another
service provider contacted.
Of these, WASP contacted
energy suppliers for 28 clients:-
- 14 needed
insulation upgraded or installed
- 6 needed over
billing problems resolved
- 5 clients
changed supplier
- 2 needed meter
problems sorted
- 1 needed Total
Heating Total Control advice
The council needed
to fix problems associated with their energy usage for 15 clients
- 6 needed
further insulation
- 5 needed
central heating problems fixed (generally leaks) which meant they were
overusing the systems in order to get enough hot water
- 4 had draught
and condensation problems
The remaining 6
clients needed referred to the following organisations
- 1 was eligible
for a new central heating system under the Scottish
Government’s Central Heating Programme
- 1 was referred
to HICEC for a grant to install solar panels
- 1 needed a
private landlord to fix a storage heater
- 3 needed
further advice from the fire service on cooking practices and fire
safety as they were overusing cookers
